Jennifer Fandel’s poetry has recently appeared or is forthcoming in The Baltimore Review, Midwestern Gothic, Little Patuxent Review, Natural Bridge, Calyx, and A Face to Meet the Faces:  An Anthology of Contemporary Persona Poetry (University of Akron Press).  She is a freelance writer and a contributing editor for River Styx.  A native of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Fandel has lived up and down the Mississippi River—in Louisiana, southern Minnesota, southern Illinois, and now St. Louis, Missouri.  She is fascinated by the diversity and history of the river and hopes that a greater spirit of interconnectedness between the states might change the fragile state of our Mighty Mississippi.
